VERYWORDS Hosts Inaugural ‘NZ Generation Tribe’ Ambassador Appointment Ceremony in Cambodia

VERYWORDS announced on the 28th that it held the inaugural ambassador appointment ceremony for the “NZ (Net-Zero) Generation Tribe” program in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

The program brought together 35 Cambodian university students from the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP), majoring in fields such as Environmental Engineering and International Relations.

The two-day event, held from June 14 to 15 at POPLE Station&Cafe, a multi-functional cultural complex in Siem Reap, saw the official appointment of five student ambassadors who will serve as group leaders. These ambassadors will lead initiatives focused on five core sustainability themes:

  1. Transition to sustainable transportation
  2. Energy optimization
  3. Recycling and waste reduction
  4. Community solidarity and environmental education
  5. Ecosystem preservation and restoration

During the program, participants engaged in team-building activities to strengthen their sense of community and took part in hands-on digital marketing training and content creation workshops to enhance their social media communication skills.

A highlight of the event was the “Angkor Wat Carbon-Neutral Tour,” where participants experienced firsthand what it means to practice carbon neutrality by riding electric motorcycles provided by VERYWORDS.

In his congratulatory remarks, VERYWORDS CEO Sungwoo Kim stated, “This program marks an important first step for Cambodian youth in taking action toward carbon neutrality and building a sustainable future. We look forward to seeing Korea and Cambodia work together to spread a culture of carbon neutrality.”

A VERYWORDS representative added, “We are committed to continuing support for Cambodia’s younger generation as they pursue sustainable practices. Through enhanced social media engagement, job linkage programs, and startup support, we aim to lead the cultural shift toward carbon neutrality in Cambodia.”
