Cambodia Approves First ITMO Project, Led by Verywords

Verywords Inc. has officially launched Cambodia’s first ITMO-authorized carbon reduction project under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. In partnership with the Cambodian Ministry of Environment and Korea’s MOTIE, the project deploys 8,000 electric scooters and over 200 charging stations nationwide to accelerate e-mobility and reduce CO₂ emissions.

Backed by international methodology (CDM AMS.III.C), the project is expected to generate 683,000 tCO₂e over 10 years, with 90% of credits transferred to Korea. It also aims to create 400 green jobs and establish a scalable model for climate cooperation.

This milestone marks a new era of public-private climate action between Cambodia and Korea.

South Korea Launches First Article 6.2 Carbon Project in Cambodia


The Korean government has initiated its first international carbon credit project under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement. Led by Verywords Inc., the project will supply electric motorcycles and charging stations in Cambodia, aiming to reduce 680,000 tCO₂e by 2035.

South Korea will secure 400,000 tons of these reductions toward its national climate targets. MOTIE confirmed this as the country’s first official carbon transaction
